Made with Eastern Red Cedar, also known as Aromatic Cedar, this species is known for its use in cedar chests and closets, fence posts and outdoor furniture. Our rustic look is enhanced by using a combination of heartwood and sapwood as well as knots in the wood. We offer four sizes so you can choose the rocker best suited for your height.
We finish our rockers with a minimum of three coats of polyurethane, which protects the wood from ultraviolet rays. Oxidation, however, will cause the rockers to change from reddish/purplish hues to medium brown.
Because some people wish to apply their own finishes, we offer an unfinished version as well. Left unfinished, the wood will turn to a nice shade of gray.
